Meet Rocky, the care-free young pup reminiscent of a mini polar bear! This stout Great Pyrenees may be compact in size, but he more than makes up for it with his larger-than-life personality. Born in September 2022, Rocky is a happy-go-lucky fellow who’s equally content cuddling up next to you or racing around the yard with another dog. Rocky's moderate energy level means you'll be treated to his daily zoomies—sometimes even twice a day—before he flops down on the cool tile for a well-deserved nap. Rocky’s not one to shy away from affection and will gladly plop his round rump in your lap, despite his size. Inside or outside, Rocky is just plain happy to be there, and if you catch him doing something he maybe shouldn't, he'll flash you a grin that makes it absolutely impossible to stay mad at him! True to his Pyr roots, Rocky does have a bit of a stubborn streak, so he’ll thrive best in a home with a Pyr-savvy owner who can gently finesse him into following commands. Rocky is friendly with most dogs and loves to play, although older dogs might find him a tad too exuberant. As for cats? They’re a definite no-go for this lad! Rocky is quick to learn when you’ve got his favorite snack in hand, and he’s already mastered the crate, making him a fantastic housemate. He’ll happily alert you to anything suspicious in the yard (like shifty-looking leaves or suspicious squirrels) with a moderate bark, but nothing that would make you need earplugs. Rocky is looking for a loving family who will appreciate his jovial nature and provide him with the guidance and care he needs to thrive. He would do best in a home with younger adults or a Pyr-experienced middle-aged family with older kids. If you're ready to welcome this happy fellow with a smile that’s pure magic into your home, Rocky could be the perfect match for you!
